I think that pretty much sums it up. I really don't like being sick. I don't like that feeling of being weak or vulnerable. I don't want people walking up to me, saying "can I get you some tea?" or some crap like that. I'm not so weak that I can't get it myself.
I'm also not the kind of person who takes a lot of pills -- except when I'm sick. I pop pills, I'll drink weird fluids... anything that will help get me over my sickness faster.
I really dislike the drain on my energy. I like being able to do what I want to do when I want to do it. I don't like sitting at home, catatonic, watching Dr. Phil and Regis & Kelly. What kind of crap is that?
It really does NOT work for me when I'm hungry and I don't feel like eating. On an average day, I'd rather drink something than eat. I'm usually more thirsty than hungry. If I could get all my nutrition from drinking, I'd probably do that. I'm not talking about those thick shakes or power drinks... I'm talking about something closer to the consistency of good 'ol American god-blessed water.
There are some things I hate more in life, but I hate being sick.
